Application Uses

AFL supplies immersion heater systems for the company's line of pollution control and custom tankage products. These systems come completely installed and include the appropriate number of heaters, wiring that complies with the National Electrical Code, and suitable controls.

The system incorporates heaters of the flanged immersion type. They bolt directly to the top of the molded fiberglass tanks. The installation is permanent and dependable.

Molded construction, with its inherent insulation, minimizes heat loss and, consequently, power requirements.

The heating system is thermostatically controlled. Weatherproof and explosion-proof enclosures are available for various controls.

A typical application is an oil/water separator or clarifier installation subject to occasional static flow conditions in a freezing climate. Another use would be to prevent the coagulating or solidifying of fatty acids in a food processing application for a separator or custom tank.
